Test Manager Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Workday Test Manager to join the ERP Transformation program to implement Workday FIN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for program testing efforts and support the Testing Workstream. The candidate will report to the HCM/FIN Technology Director & Test Lead.

This role will collaborate with the ERP Systems Integrator ERP Functional and Technical workstreams Kainos Automation Testing vendor existing Workday HCM Business and Technical Release team and s Testing CoE to drive testing (all phases of Workday implementation automation and regression testing). The candidate will support test design test case creation test automation and test execution. They will also be responsible for test management for governance communications test phase entry / exit criteria defect and metric reporting etc.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the entire test cycle which will involve multiple phases including Smoke Unit EndtoEnd Regression Integrations Parallel Data Conversion and UAT until the Signoff of each phase.

Align with the systems implementation partner to manage and report the status of overall program execution and facilitate the execution of the test strategy and endtoend test management.

Plan and coordinate to ensure all testing activities are executed within the integrated project plan timeline.

Collaborate closely with workstream leads planning the test phases execution scope effort estimation and risk management.

Responsible to onboard Workday FIN to the Kainos test automation suite (SmartTest SmartShield SmartAudit). Includes coordinating with the Workday HCM Automation Testing Lead to integrate HCM and FIN on a shared automated testing.

Responsible for establishing processew for FIN regression testing within the Kainos SmartTest for the ERP Transformation program and ongoing governance between FIN and HCM postprogram deployment.

Coordinate and ensure testing resources are aligned on scope timing and procedural expectations for every test cycle including those needed to prepare and accomplish testing.

Secure agreement from and coordinate with the program team on test environments expectations and resources.

Support each test phases entry and exit criteria including formal approval from all relevant stakeholders reporting and signoffs.

Perform the defect management process including strategy triage reporting and resolution.

Responsible/coordinates regression testing of impacted systems.

General Requirements

The candidate is responsible for overseeing the execution of all software testing programs tools and techniques supporting the program. Job Responsibilities: Work with the Test Director to set expectations and direction from a strategic and planning perspective. Adhere to ATOM standards tools and best practices. Verify requirement traceability from System Requirements through test cases and defects. Ensure that testing activities will allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals fulfill enduser requirements and identify and resolve systems issues. Overseeing execution of all software testing programs tools and techniques. Work with the PMO and Test Director to create test schedules. Manage testing to the schedule and escalate if deviation are foreseen or occur. Trace Test Cases back to requirement to verify coverage. Validate Test Preparation of environments and verify all teams are aligned with what needs to occur to build/prepare the test environments. Coordinate track and report regularly on execution of testing. Verify defects are effectively recorded communicated and understood. Analyze and ensure test results and changes/defect are reflected in the test case and test cases are updated appropriately based on resolution. Identify create and review test metrics. Identify and recommend process improvements as necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory SkillsSkills Experience and Qualifications to be successful: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field Over 5 years of experience with Workday HCM and/or FIN required Experience in a at least 1 full cycle Workday HCM and / or FIN implementation Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices Hands on experience in Agile methodology Indepth experience with Workday test process for integrations testing functional testing system integration testing and regression Testing Experience with Kainos automation software Proven project management skills including experience with project management tools (i.e. Jira qTest PowerBI Excel). Excellent problemsolving collaboration and communication skills Applies creative solutions and strong problemsolving skills with agility Led test management from a customer side or projects managed by a Systems Integrator Strong risk awareness skills and management of risk. Forecasts the risk evaluates the severity and makes efforts to mitigate without impacting the overall testing timelines. Manage multiple streams of work simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Delivery focused with high energy and drive. Credibility professionalism and strong personal integrity Workday certifications are a plus
