Contract Role

Role Description:

• Responsible for the development of end to end Citrix system architectures and designs to support emerging business needs
• Architect design develop and deploy Citrix virtualization technologies for approximately 10000 users
• Act as the technical expert for Citrix integration projects
• Work with customers to determine their functional needs translating customer needs into hardware/software requirements for existing or new hardware/software applications
• Improves and automates tasks associated with building configuring patching and upgrading core infrastructure platforms hardware and software
• Provide Tier III support to deployed systems
• Participate in functional or user acceptance testing to ensure final products meets the customers needs
• Conduct technical exchange meetings and mentor other engineers
• Create test plans installation guides technical specifications and white papers as required
• Lead in the review and research of new technologies in response to project requirements and business needs
• Develop implementation and support plans through migration from POC / lab through test and ultimately to production environments
• Monitor and recognize constraints of specific infrastructure architectures and provide alternate scalable solutions in order to meet business and project requirements

Required Experience:

• Five or more years of current Citrix architecture/engineering experience leveraging tools such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.x Citrix Provisioning Services 5.6 Citrix StoreFront Citrix NetScaler 10.x 11.x 12.x and VMware vSphere 5.x 6.x
• Windows Server
• Experience in process/administration automation including scripting with PowerShell
• Citrix certifications preferred
• Bachelors degree in computer or information science preferred
