Overview
- Plan and manage a variety of construction projects from inception to completion. Organize and oversee construction processes to ensure they are completed safely efficiently and on time.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies and procedures and the ability to coordinate a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal results. Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential.
- The objective is to ensure all projects are delivered on schedule meet quality standards avoid major incidents and stay within budget.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients engineers architects subcontractors and direct contractors to define project specifications and resolve any commercial or technical issues.
- Define the scope of work for subcontractors.
- Lead the consultant team to obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
- Determine the required resources (manpower equipment and materials) from start to finish ensuring budgetary constraints are met and coordinate with subcontractors for resource provision.
- Plan all construction activities and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
- Acquire equipment and materials and monitor stock levels to address any shortages promptly.
- Assign responsibilities and define the scope of work for staff.
- Supervise laborers mechanics and other workers providing guidance as needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed progress reports.
- Attend client and consultant meetings to present progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and report any issues.

- Proven experience as construction project manager
- Indepth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office including MS project
- Familiarity with construction/ project management ISO documents
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- BSc/BA in engineering building science or relevant field
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
