Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a detailoriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable ledger and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices payments and adjustments. This role requires strong attention to detail excellent communication skills and a proven ability to resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform daytoday financial transactions including verifying classifying computing posting and recording accounts receivable data
  • Prepare bills invoices and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients billing issues
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Monitor customer accounts for nonpayment delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts cash etc.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries
  • Communicate with clients and internal departments to resolve outstanding issues
  • Participate in financial audits as required

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Finance Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • Proven 2 years of working experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a related field
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Proven ability to calculate post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Handson experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (QuickBooks Oracle SAP etc.)
  • Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel and Outlook
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
