INEOS has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join our INEOS Composites business at our Saudi Arabia Joint Venture operating through SIR (Saudi Industrial Resins) with head office in Jeddah; 2 production sites in Jeddah and Jubail and branches in Riyadh and Damman

The General Manager for Saudi Arabia JV is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the SIR P&L with full accountability for leading the Commercial Operations Technology Purchasing/Supply Chain Finance and Human Resources functions within Saudi Arabia JV.

This position will report to our SVP Business Development.

The responsibility of the position is setting the direction and path forward for the Composites business in the JV delivering EBITDA growth fixed cost control and zero incident SHE performance including but not limited to the following responsibilities:


Business:

  • Deliver plan EBITDA via strong leadership of the KSA organisation.
  • Deliver managed change in the attitude towards SHE and thereafter deliver continuous improvement setting the tone and example of INEOS safety culture.
  • Management of the operating budget implementing close oversight and policies to avoid overspend delivering on fixed cost targets and cost reductions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all activities of the business.
  • Management and reporting of business performance and intervention/leadership as needed to drive business results.
  • Identify productivity and cost saving opportunities.
  • Direct highlevel negotiations and problem solve.

Growth:

  • Understand external business conditions and competitive environment in order to identify and recommend strategic regional opportunities.
  • Define and agree on the profit growth vision and optimum business strategy for delivery.
  • Establish and execute the strategic plan for the business i.e. identify key markets accountabilities and measures that deliver sales and profit targets & customers for development and growth.
  • Identify productivity and cost saving opportunities.

Organization:

  • Ensure business is operated with complete legal compliance and to ethical standards.
  • Lead motivate and inspire the SIR organization.
  • Build performance culture by recruiting developing and motivating wellrounded and effective teams that demonstrate growth and success.
  • Actively manage headcount for optimum productivity.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with local authorities banks and other external parties.
  • Responsibilities as online signatory on KSA regulatory matters

In order to be qualified for this role you must possess the following:


Level of education & Experience in general

  • Bachelors degree in business or technical/science discipline or equivalent required.
  • Advanced degree is highly desired.
  • Fifteen (15) years of management experience of progressive responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable financial acumen including previous experience with P&L and cost management responsibility including extensive experience developing and delivering annual operating budgets.
  • Experience developing and delivering annual operating budgets.
  • Fluent English / knowledge of Arabic will be a plus.
  • Strong people management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel 4060% of the time.

Behavioural skills

  • Strong and demonstrated leadership abilities and delegation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Wellrounded background with sales marketing finance supply chain and procurement experience.
  • Strong negotiation communication and interpersonal skills at all levels; must interact effectively with customers employees coworkers in a teambased environment.
  • Capable coach and developer of people excellent and proven leadership skill with the ability to engage large workforces and foster a safe winning culture.
