Job Description
Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk will perform routine clerical filing and data entry tasks for accounting data
including accounts payable billing and receivables.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable
billing and accounts receivable.
Reviews billing statements invoices and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff
of any discrepancies.
Distributes accounting reports as directed.
May assist with mail distribution answering telephones and other clerical tasks as needed.
Follows all safety and PPE protocols.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
Basic mathematical skills.
Good verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bookkeeping training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
