Data Engineer

NOTE: The job is located in Toronto Canada with the option for remote work. Local candidates are required to visit the office once a month.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in Looker
• Strong SQL and Data Analysis abilities

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a data analysis role.
• 3 years of expertise in Python SQL and visualization tools like Looker.
• Demonstrated ability in decisionmaking and problemsolving driven by analytics.
• Strong conceptual thinking complemented by quantitative aptitude.
• Demonstrated business acumen leadership and integrity exhibiting assertive yet responsible decisionmaking.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in strategic influencing and negotiation.
• Proactive and adaptable thriving in dynamic work environments.
• Proficient in database management and adept at writing SQL queries in platforms like Hive Snowflake and Presto.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Looker and Excel.

Additional Considerations:

• Proficiency in data mining techniques including supervised and unsupervised learning is a plus.
• Experience in data analysis and debugging with Spark/PySpark.
• Familiarity with Airflow for workflow management.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in crossfunctional matrixed environments.
