We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our clients team in a restaurant setting contributing to their commitment to providing exceptional culinary experiences. If you have a culinary background excellent cooking skills and the ability to manage kitchen operations we invite you to apply for this position.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience

Work Setting: Restaurant

Ranks of chefs: Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of food costs consumption sales and inventory to support efficient kitchen management.
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff to enhance their culinary skills.
  • Supervise the activities of specialist chefs chefs cooks and other kitchen workers to ensure a harmonious and productive kitchen environment.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to maintain a high standard of food preparation and service.
  • Prepare and cook food regularly or for special guests or functions ensuring culinary excellence.
  • Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs to support budgeting and cost control.
  • Plan menus and ensure that food meets quality standards creating an outstanding dining experience.
  • Recruit and hire kitchen staff as needed.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation cooking techniques and safe food handling practices.

Supervision: 510 people
