Job Description

Job Mission: The Cabin and Cargo Systems Engineer will lead the design and integration of cabin systems for our nextgeneration sustainable regional aircraft. This includes seating lighting cabin management system water/waste system IFEC and cargo systems among others. The role involves close collaboration with crossfunctional teams to ensure the cabins functionality passenger experience and sustainability adhering to regulatory standards and innovative design principles.

Tasks

  • Plan and lead cabin systems design activities ensuring alignment with aircraft top level requirements operational requirements and cabin comfort standards.
  • Establish cabin and cargo design concepts lead trade studies and prepare design assessment reviews
  • Coordinate with engineering teams and suppliers optimizing cabin and cargo functionality integration and manufacturability.
  • Drive the cabin design process from concept to certification ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Innovate in the use of new solutions and sustainable materials and technologies within cabin design.
  • Planning of the required capabilities and deliverables according to the defined cabin and cargo roadmap
  • Define the design validation and verification roadmap and required test plan
  • Support and propose opportunities for digitalisation and automatization of cabin design processes.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (BSc/MSc/Eng) in aeronautics/aerospace/mechanical engineering
  • Over 10 years professional expertise in cabin systems engineering including but not limited to systems such as Cabin Systems (ATA 44) Water/Waste (ATA 38) Equipment/Furnishing (ATA 25) lighting (ATA 33) Oxygen (ATA 35) etc. and overall cabin operations
  • Fundamental understanding of the development process and requirements in the large aircraft category (CS25)
  • New product development experience and awareness of new cabin and cargo trends technologies and suppliers
  • Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritize manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Assertive proactive innovative and creative
