Job Description

TPF Recruitment are seeking a diligent and detailoriented PartTime Bookkeeper to join our clients team for 2530 hours per week in Maidenhead. As a Bookkeeper you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for our clients ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing essential support to the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for clients using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero).
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely completion of monthend and yearend closing procedures.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide assistance with financial matters as needed.
  • Keep abreast of changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role preferably within a chartered accountancy firm or financial services environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problemsolving with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • A relevant accounting qualification (e.g. AAT) or working towards one is desirable but not essential.
