About the Role

Designation : Failure Analysis FIB / SEM Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW:

In this role you will be part of a crossfunctional team focused on development characterization and failure analysis of next generation materials and products. You will also be responsible for performing handson root cause failure analysis and indepth characterizations using advanced analytical tools. In addition you will be recommending corrective actions and conveying results to the crossfunctional team as well as upper management.

We are looking for someone who thoughtfully resolves issues using creative ideas has a strong FIB background and has a willingness to dive deep into complex issues. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with focused ion beam (FIB) milling scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) analysis and some experience with a wide variety of microscopy tools.

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in materials characterization or failure analysis.
• To be successful in this role you should have an indepth hands on understanding of Dual Beam FIB/SEM
• Familiarity with a wide variety of materials characterization techniques (SEM/ EDS FTIR CT/XRay etc..) and fundamental failure analysis methodology
• You are an expert in conveying complex data sets from multiple sources into a concise and understandable form
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable in communicating with crossfunctional partners
• Previous experience with microelectronic display process technologies would be considered a plus
• Outstanding problem solving abilities
  Ability to balance multiple high priority tasks at the same time
• Flexible and able to quickly change course to meet the needs of the business

EDUCATION:

M.S. or PhD in a Materials Science or a related discipline (Applied Physics or Mechanical Engineering for example)
