Job Title: Oracle DBA with Curam

Location: Menands NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot Oracle 10g or higher database performance issues by collaborating with crossfunctional teams to pinpoint root causes whether they lie in storage network database or application tiers.
• Work closely with developers to optimize SQL performance by suggesting modifications such as avoiding cartesian products and recommending index usage.
• Utilize RMAN for backup and recovery of Oracle databases ensuring data integrity and system reliability. Experience in recovery using RMAN is essential.
• Perform upgrades and patches of Oracle Database software in Unixlike environments including RAC clusters with DataGuard configurations.
• Install and configure Oracle Database software in Unixlike environments including setting up entire RAC clusters with DataGuard for enhanced redundancy.
• Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13 or higher for efficient database management and monitoring.
• Employ GoldenGate in Oracle database environments to facilitate data replication and integration.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases integrated with IBM C ram architecture is desirable although direct experience with C ram is not mandatory.
• Maintain Oracle 10g or higher Certified Professional (OCP) certification to ensure uptodate knowledge and expertise.
• Possess a Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field to provide a strong foundation for database administration responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Handson experience troubleshooting Oracle 10g or higher database performance issues.
• Proficiency in working with developers to optimize SQL performance.
• Experience using RMAN for backup and recovery in Oracle database environments.
• Familiarity with upgrading and patching Oracle Database software in Unixlike environments.
• Competence in installing and configuring Oracle Database software particularly in RAC clusters with DataGuard.
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13 or higher.
• Experience with GoldenGate in Oracle database environments.
• Understanding of Oracle databases integrated with IBM C ram architecture (direct C ram experience not necessary).
• Oracle 10g or higher Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
