Head NETWORK

Overview: As the Head of Network you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our organizations network infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading a team of network professionals designing implementing and maintaining network systems to ensure optimal performance security and reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of network engineers and technicians providing guidance support and mentorship to ensure the effective functioning of the network infrastructure.
   
2. Design plan and implement network solutions to meet the organizations current and future needs considering factors such as scalability performance and security.
   
3. Oversee the daytoday operations of the network including monitoring network performance troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
   
4. Develop and maintain network policies procedures and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
   
5. Collaborate with other departments such as IT security operations and engineering to integrate network systems with other technology initiatives and business objectives.
   
6. Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in networking to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the organization.
   
7. Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to network equipment and services ensuring costeffectiveness and quality of service.
   
8. Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of the network infrastructure highlighting key performance metrics challenges and proposed solutions.
   
9. Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes related to network infrastructure providing input and recommendations based on technical expertise and business requirements.
   
10. Foster a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous learning within the network team promoting professional development and knowledge sharing among team members.
    

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field; masters degree preferred.
  
• At least 6 years of experience in network engineering or a related role with a proven track record of leadership and project management.
  
• Expertise in designing and implementing complex network architectures including LAN WAN VPN SDWAN and wireless networks.
  
• Indepth knowledge of networking protocols technologies and standards such as TCP/IP DNS DHCP BGP OSPF MPLS VLANs and QoS.
  
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption protocols.
  
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as Nagios SolarWinds Cisco Prime or equivalent.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve common goals.
  
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE CCNP CISSP or equivalent are a plus.
