A manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Cost Accounting Manager. In this seat you will be overseeing all processes of cost accounting but will not be managing a team. Looking for someone who has experience owning cost accounting responsibilities and wants to grow within an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in building supervising and training a proficient team within the Accounting Department to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor manage and actively participate in daytoday Accounting Department operations ensuring adherence to financial deadlines.
- Provide comprehensive training to staff to address the evolving needs of the organization.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports encompassing all Balance Sheet schedules and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain oversight of the good standing of enterprise companies.
- Engage in strategic data analysis research and modeling to support senior company leadership.
- Review and verify project costs and margins contributing to the development of pricing structures.
- Support project analysis validate plans and address adhoc requests efficiently.
- Oversee the companys financial accounting systems monitoring their performance and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in audits as required providing necessary support and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting (Masters preferred or equivalent work experience) preffered.
- 5 years of experience in accounting with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables formulas etc.
- Experience in marketing or agency industries a plus.
- Selfstarter with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player to collaborate within the organization.
Associates Degree preferred. Proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets and data entry skills. Minimum of 2 years experience with Accounts Payable.
