Senior Software Developer RPG AS400

• Enhance develop and maintain system while build proprietary software for clients.
  
• Creating new applications and improve existing applications within systems.
  
• Develop software based on project requirements.
  
• Analyze and understand user requirements through system specifications or discussions with team members and end users.
  
• Collaborate with project team members to conduct comprehensive program testing (including unit testing performance testing system integration testing and regression testing) to ensure software quality.
  
• Create and maintain project documentation such as Installation Guides User Manuals and Technical Manuals.
  
• Engage in technical discussions and brainstorming sessions with project teams and vendors.
  
• Offer solutions to project team and customer issues or concerns.
  
• Provide onsite/offsite system support troubleshoot problems and offer technical consultation to users.
  
• Manage software packaging installation deployment and configuration processes
  

Requirements

• A Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable university is required.
  
• Working knowledge of IBM AS400 and iSeries systems.
  
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in DSPF PRTF CLP RPG RPGLE Programming Language.
  
• Utilize AS400 CLP RPG and RPGLE to create and enhance custom IBM AS400 / iSeries applications.
  
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of basic AS400 commands AS400 programs debugging process and basic knowledge in SQL.
  
• Familiar in AS400 WebService web program setup and experience in term loan system and in hire purchase is advantageous.
  
• Capable to understand and study existing program/system flows from source code with minimal training and guidance.
  
• Enhances operating efficiency by analyzing reviewing and altering programs while prepare documents that describe program coding logic development and corrections.
  
• Able to work independently and willing to travel.
