Job Summary:
The Derivatives/Structured Finance Associate is an integral part of our finance team responsible for designing structuring and executing complex financial instruments. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets products and risk management techniques. The successful candidate will demonstrate analytical excellence innovative thinking and a strong aptitude for problemsolving in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement structured finance products including derivatives to meet client needs and manage financial risks.
- Perform quantitative analysis and financial modeling to assess the viability and risk profiles of various financial structures.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored solutions that align with their strategic goals.
- Conduct market research to stay informed of the latest trends and developments in financial markets and structured finance.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for both internal stakeholders and external clients explaining complex financial structures and their benefits.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all transactions meet regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception through execution and postdeal evaluation.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and other financial institutions involved in structured transactions.
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff contributing to their development and understanding of derivatives and structured finance.
- Maintain a strong professional network to enhance business development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Mathematics or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (such as CFA or FRM) preferred.
- 3 years of experience in financial services with a focus on derivatives structured products or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
- Strong understanding of market risk credit risk and the regulatory landscape.
- Excellent communication skills capable of presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex financial transactions.
- Demonstrated problemsolving skills and strategic thinking.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
