Back-end Focused Ruby on Rails Engineer
This will start as a part-time/project-based role which may grow into a full-time situation.
What you'll be working on
- Building and maintaining backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails and associated technologies
- Integrating with NoSQL databases like Redis and DynamoDB
- Developing cloud infrastructure on AWS using services like ECS, ELB, CloudFormation, Lambda
- Implementing continuous integration and deployment pipelines

Responsibilities
- Write clean, well-tested code and implement solutions according to specifications
- Configure and manage cloud resources and services for optimal performance and scalability
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver features according to project requirements
- Perform debugging, optimization and maintenance of existing systems

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails
- Hands-on experience with AWS and devops tools like Docker, Jenkins, Git
- Understanding of database modeling, APIs, and cloud architecture patterns
- Passion for writing high-quality, well-tested code and delivering business value
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
