Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall safety on site.
• Development of a Project Safety Plan and Safety Supervision on site.
• Identification of Occupational Safety and Health Hazards and proposal of mitigation measures.
• Regular job site inspections and safety briefings for the work force.
• Implementation and control of job site safety programs.
• Organization of routine training to apply good sense and safety practices.
• Preparation of Daily Safety Reports.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architect or Technician.
• Specialization in Construction Safety.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction and safety
• Knowledge of technical building standards and construction methodologies.
• Sense of overall responsibility for the project from start to handover.
• Language skills –English, communicative and in writing.
• Driving license.
• Computer skills (Word, Excel).
• Safety Engineering and Construction Safety skills.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Experience conducting security assessments.
• Training and education in safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
