Tasks
- Lead potential analysis and strategy development for the African Region in coordination with the GoodVision Board.
- Implement the agreed measures in the region and manage the operational opening up and development of new countries.
- Support the country directors in the continuous development of the existing strategies in the program countries (currently: Burkina Faso Kenya Liberia Malawi).
- Accountable for the budget creation as well as the appropriate and sustainable use of donations in the program countries; management of the regional budget.
- Support the continuous development of stable management and organizational structures in the program countries; lead motivate and develop the country directors.
- Establish strong networks in the region and with global organizations; if required represent the region at international level with a focus on acquiring funds and creating new alliances.
- Collaborate with internal GoodVision stakeholders in particular with the donor organizations and central services in order to ensure optimal support for the program countries in the region (e.g. preparation of reports creation of grant applications presenting at events with donors)
- Ensure the implementation of agreed good practices in the region; participate actively in global GoodVision working groups.
Requirements
- Masters university degree in Management international Development or any related field
- Strong background in strategy development corporate planning sales and budget management
- Senior management experience including remote management of teams dispersed across a region providing inclusive and inspirational leadership and ability to lead leaders
- Substantive international project management experience in the NGO/social business environment at least 10 years total working experience with 3 in senior leadership
- Excellent understanding of the current international development funding environment and experience of successful fundraising from institutional and noninstitutional donors.
- A proven collaborator with strong networks with governments funders civil society and other relevant actors.
- Ability and willingness to travel both locally and internationally
- English required German and/or French an advantage
