Overview:
The Abinitio Developer plays a crucial role in designing developing and implementing ETL solutions using Abinitio software. They are responsible for extracting transforming and loading data into the data warehouse while ensuring high performance and reliability of the systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing developing and testing Abinitio graph applications.
- Collaborating with business analysts and data architects to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implementing data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure the accuracy of ETL processes.
- Optimizing ETL processes for performance and scalability.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation for ETL processes and systems.
- Identifying and troubleshooting ETL job failures and performance bottlenecks.
- Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and standards compliance.
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to integrate ETL processes with existing systems.
- Implementing data quality and data governance best practices within ETL processes.
- Providing production support and troubleshooting for ETL processes and systems.
- Participating in the evaluation and selection of ETL tools and technologies.
- Conducting performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs.
- Implementing security and data protection measures within ETL processes.
- Participating in the planning and execution of ETL migration and upgrade projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and developing ETL solutions using Abinitio software.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data quality and data governance best practices.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with version control systems and CI/CD processes.
- Knowledge of data security and protection principles.
- Experience with ETL migration and upgrade projects.
- Certification in Abinitio or relevant ETL technologies is a plus.
