Job Description
Our client offers customised ICT solutions from design and solution consultation to fabrication implementation and delivery of modular ICT infrastructure. They are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join their sheet metal manufacturing team.
Responsibilities:
- Set up operate and program press brake machines to bend fold and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and production orders.
- Select appropriate tooling and set up the press brake for each job.
- Input programs and adjust machine parameters using the press brake controller.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure the quality and accuracy of produced parts.
- Inspect finished products to verify conformance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of press brake machines
Hours:
- Monday to Friday 40.5 hours
- 2pm close on Fridays
- Saturday work as required
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience as a Press Brake Operator in the sheet metal industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of press brake machine setup operation and programming.
- Ability to program (BEND CAM) and adjust press brake machines using the controller interface.
- Basic CAD training and familiarity with CAD software.
- Excellent mathematical skills and understanding of measurements and dimensions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce highquality work.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
