Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing echocardiograms and accurately capturing images of the heart and related structures.
• Operating and maintaining echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assisting physicians during procedures and providing crucial support in diagnosing heart conditions.
• Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the echocardiography procedure.
• Reviewing images to ensure quality and completeness before presenting them to physicians.
• Documenting findings and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate any concerns.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Staying abreast of advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques.
• Adhering to all regulations and protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in performing echocardiograms and utilizing echocardiography equipment.
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and cardiovascular diseases.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organized patient records.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic healthcare environment.
• Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in patient care.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
