Job Title: Senior Java Backend Engineer
Location: Reston VA (Onsite Requirement: Yes 5 days a week)

Overview:
Client is seeking a highly energetic and collaborative Senior Java Backend Engineer for a longterm engagement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java/J2EE development microservices architecture Docker/Kubernetes Kafka and NoSQL databases. Prior experience in the retail domain and familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) will be advantageous. The role involves designing implementing and maintaining Javabased applications aligned with business goals and requirements.

Role :
Design and implement Javabased applications according to user requirements and business objectives.
Develop and test software debugging and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Produce detailed design documentation and recommend changes to existing Java infrastructure.
Develop and maintain multimedia applications and documentation to assist users.
Ensure continuous professional selfdevelopment and stay updated with industry best practices.

Experience Level:
12 to 15 years of handson experience with Java Spring Boot Kafka and NoSQL databases.
4 years of handson experience with cloud platforms preferably Azure.
Strong exposure to microservices architecture and cloud technologies.
Background in Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with Git flow for version control.
Familiarity with Atlassian products such as Bit Bucket JIRA Confluence etc.
Proficiency in Continuous Integration tools like Bamboo Jenkins.

Mandatory Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE with 1215 years of experience.
Extensive experience in microservices architecture and Spring Boot.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
8 years of experience with Kafka.
5 years of experience with NoSQL databases.
Prior experience in the retail domain is desirable.
Certification in relevant technologies is a plus.
