BAKER
We are seeking a skilled and creative Baker to join our bakery team. As a Baker you will be responsible for producing highquality baked goods according to established recipes and procedures. Additionally you will play a crucial role in developing new product lines and innovating baking techniques to meet evolving consumer preferences. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of baking technologies theories and ingredients along with a passion for creating delicious baked goods.
Production of Baked Goods:
- Monitor/operate baking equipment such as mixers ovens and proofing cabinets.
- Monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection.
- Maintain consistency in product quality flavor and appearance.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold hygiene standards.
New Product Development:
- Collaborate with the bakery team to conceptualize and develop new product lines.
- Research emerging baking trends ingredients and techniques.
- Experiment with recipes and formulations to create unique and innovative baked goods.
- Test and evaluate new products for taste texture and market appeal.
- Make adjustments to recipes and processes based on feedback and testing results.
Quality Control:
- Inspect finished products for quality defects and inconsistencies.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of excellence.
- Address any issues related to product quality or consistency promptly.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to order ingredients as needed.
- Minimize waste by accurately portioning ingredients and controlling production quantities.
Training and Development:
- Train and mentor junior staff members in baking techniques and procedures.
- Share knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in baking.
Education And Experience:
- Practical experience and technical mastery in Food Science (baking technologies).
- Bachelor’s degree in food science Food engineering or other related applied science.
- Experience in a food manufacturing company.
- 2 years of food product and/or process development from concept through commercialization ideally both at the commercial bakery level.
- Demonstrated expertise in producing a variety of baked goods including bread buns biscuits etc.
- Experience in new product development and recipe formulation is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GMP HACCP and good laboratory practice for a food product development laboratory
