Overview:
As an RN CVICUPeds (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Pediatrics) you will play a crucial role in providing specialized nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions. Your responsibilities will encompass managing and monitoring critically ill children and adolescents working closely with a multidisciplinary team and delivering highquality care in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and documenting the condition of pediatric patients in the CVICU
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring and interpreting critical vital signs and cardiac rhythms
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members
- Preparing and updating individualized care plans
- Providing educational support to patients and families
- Participating in emergency response and resuscitation efforts
- Ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Utilizing advanced technology to deliver specialized care
- Contributing to the research and development of pediatric cardiac care

Required Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the specified state
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric CVICU or related setting
- Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Proficiency in pediatric patient assessment and care planning
- Ability to remain composed and decisive in highstress situations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of cardiac medications and interventions for pediatric patients
- Familiarity with advanced technological equipment used in CVICU settings
