Overview

Key responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients conditions upon arrival to the ER
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Perform wound care monitor vital signs and assist with pain management
• Operate medical equipment and assist in emergency procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Participate in disaster preparedness and response efforts
• Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the ER department
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards in nursing practice

Required qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
• Previous experience in an emergency room or critical care setting
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Excellent clinical assessment and prioritization skills
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and unpredictable environment
• Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and best practices
• Capacity to collaborate with a diverse healthcare team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
• Understanding of legal and ethical nursing standards
• Flexibility to work various shifts including nights weekends and holidays
