Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate risks associated with financial lines insurance products encompassing Credit insurance Directors and Officers (D&O) insurance Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance and Cyber Liability insurance.
- Devise and execute risk management strategies to safeguard clients financial assets and mitigate potential liabilities.
- Collaborate with underwriters actuaries and legal professionals to formulate insurance policies tailored to meet clients specific requirements.
- Conduct meticulous legal and financial due diligence on prospective clients and their operations to discern potential risks and liabilities.
- Offer expert advice and counsel to clients regarding insurance coverage options policy terms and regulatory adherence.
- Review and negotiate insurance contracts endorsements and policy wordings to ensure clarity and alignment with clients interests.
- Stay abreast of industry trends regulatory alterations and emerging risks in the financial services sector to adjust insurance offerings accordingly.
- Interface with claims management teams to expedite the resolution of insurance claims and disputes.
- Act as a subject matter expert on financial lines insurance products delivering training sessions and presentations to internal teams and clients as required.
- Cultivate enduring relationships with clients brokers and other stakeholders to foster business expansion and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees from accredited institutions.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance or related field.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.
- Fellowship or Chartered qualification in insurance (e.g. FII ACII).
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in the banking industry focusing on credit division operations and risk management.
- Extensive experience in the insurance sector particularly in financial lines insurance products such as credit insurance D&O PI and Cyber Liability.
- Demonstrated track record of effectively structuring and underwriting complex insurance transactions.
- Profound understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing financial services and insurance industries.
