Job Title: Head of Human Resources

Location: Nairobi

Role Overview: Our client is currently seeking to hire an experienced and dynamic Head of Human Resources to lead their HR department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that are closely aligned with the companys overarching objectives. Responsibilities will encompass overseeing all HR functions including recruitment employee relations performance management training and development compensation and benefits as well as HR administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the companys overall objectives.
  2. Oversee the recruitment and selection process including sourcing interviewing and hiring candidates.
  3. Manage employee relations including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and grievance handling.
  4. Lead performance management processes including goal setting performance evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
  5. Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  6. Manage compensation and benefits programs including salary administration incentive plans and employee benefits packages.
  7. Ensure compliance with labor laws regulations and company policies.
  8. Oversee HR administration tasks including recordkeeping payroll processing and HRIS management.
  9. Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
  • Membership in the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR roles with at least 5 years in a management or leadership position.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive business results.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
