Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation and administration of different types of anesthesia
• Monitoring patient vital signs during anesthesia administration
• Operating and maintaining anesthesia equipment
• Providing preoperative patient education on anesthesia procedures
• Assisting in airway management and intubation
• Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Documenting patient care and anesthesia administration
• Responding to emergency situations in the operating room
• Assisting with patient positioning for surgical procedures
• Ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives related to anesthesia care
• Assisting in the transport of patients to and from the operating room
• Providing support to anesthesiologists and other team members as needed
• Participating in continuing education and training programs
• Adhering to professional and ethical standards in healthcare practice

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Nursing Anesthesia Technology or related field
• Certification or licensure as an Anesthesia Technician or Associate
• Previous experience in an anesthesia or perioperative setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of anesthesia principles and practices
• Ability to operate and maintain anesthesia equipment effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking and problemsolving abilities in emergency situations
• Capability to work effectively in a fastpaced highpressure environment
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety protocols
• Team collaboration and flexibility in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and documentation
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
• Ability to adapt to changing healthcare technologies and best practices
