The role of a Salesforce Solution Architect/Lead involves both technical and functional responsibilities especially in a clientfacing context. Heres a breakdown of some of the key responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering:
Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs objectives and requirements.
Conduct workshops interviews and meetings to gather detailed requirements.
Document requirements in a clear and concise manner.
Solution Design:
Translate business requirements into technical solutions leveraging Salesforce platform capabilities.
Design scalable and robust Salesforce solutions that align with industry best practices and client goals.
Create technical design documents outlining system architecture data models integrations and customizations.
ClientFacing Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the project team.
Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss project status gather feedback and address concerns.
Present solution designs and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with developers administrators and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
Customization and Configuration:
Configure Salesforce platform features to meet specific business requirements.
Develop custom solutions using Apex Visualforce Lightning Web Components and other Salesforce technologies.
Implement integrations with external systems using APIs middleware and other integration tools.
Quality Assurance:
Define and execute test strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of Salesforce solutions.
Perform system testing user acceptance testing and regression testing as needed.
Identify and resolve issues and bugs in a timely manner.
Documentation and Training:
Document solution designs configurations and customizations for future reference.
Provide training and support to endusers to ensure successful adoption of Salesforce solutions.
Create user manuals training materials and knowledge articles as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on new Salesforce features updates and best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within Salesforce implementations.
Proactively recommend enhancements and upgrades to existing solutions to meet evolving business needs.
