Cattle Care an organization dedicated to transforming the dairy farming industry has been on a remarkable journey since 2017. During this time the team has diligently developed an operational platform for dairy farms that harnesses the power of Computer Vision technology. In 2021 a significant milestone was achieved with the launch of the flagship product a people management tool designed specifically for the most laborintensive and crucial aspect of a dairy farm the milking parlor. In the year 2022 growth exceeded threefold.

The company helps farm owners by providing daily reports about all the deviations happening in the milking facility. Its gamechanging technologies help conduct roundtheclock video monitoring of cattle using commercial equipment and track behavioral signatures for each cow in the herd using computer vision algorithms. Moreover it helps to understand whether cows are sick or not so that you can react on time and prevent bacteria from spreading into the milk. You probably havent thought about it but this technology helps not only farmers and their cows to be happier & healthier but also us as customers so we buy the best milk from the best producers without fear that we may get infected with something.

At Cattle Care using artificial Intelligence they increase the revenue of dairy farms and decrease GHG emissions antibiotics and hormone usage. They secured $3.2M in funding from serial angel investors VCs and domain experts. They have 70 farms and $1.4M ARR; the company has grown 3X in 2022 and hit breakeven. The new Tech Lead will help Cattle Care scale the business to 140 farms and $5M ARR in 2024.

Currently their Russianspeaking part of the team is in search of a Manual QA Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality assurance and a willingness to contribute to the codebase. At Cattle Care they prioritize flexibility and adaptability to achieve their business goals. As part of the agile team you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our web applications through meticulous manual testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to achieve sprint goals by providing thorough manual testing of web applications.

• Describe and manage test cases/checklists to enhance feature testing efficiency and release stability.

• Assist the tech lead in creating autotests for critical components of the applications (unit and integration tests).

• Prioritize flexibility and adaptability over perfection ensuring timely delivery of qualitytested features.

• Contribute to the development of core test cases and help in transitioning them to automated tests.

• Undertake API and web application testing to ensure functionality meets requirements.

• Participate in sprint planning and adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks.

Our Tech Stack:

• FE: latest TypeScript Next.js React Tailwind.

• BE: PG 15 Python 3.10 Django 4.2 Tailwind Celery.

• Legacy FE: React 16 Redux Axios ES2021 TS webpack Bootstrap.

• Legacy BE: MySQL Python 3.6 Django 2.2 Celery.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of commercial experience as a Manual QA Engineer.

• Proficiency in managing project tests and basic understanding of computer science principles.

• Experience in API and web application testing.

• Strong desire to focus on goals rather than roles with the ability to switch responsibilities as needed.

• Fluent in Russian language as the team predominantly communicates in Russian.

• Written & spoken English proficiency for being able to speak to other team members.

• Strong selfreliance and the ability to create solutions and make decisions on your own with the minimum required confirmations.

• Be a proactive team player whos not afraid to speak up his own opinion seriously the company is looking for a person with many ideas not just an executor.

• Organizing skills you know exactly how to organize your work and personal time and dont want any minute to go to waste.

• Goal & detailoriented you can easily adapt to a fastchanging environment without losing your goals and targets.

Working hours:

The schedule is flexible allowing you to work from any time zone. However you will be required to attend checkin calls once every two days at 8:00 AM Argentina time as the Tech Lead is based in Argentina (check your timezone here).
