Description
The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC) Fiscal Services Division is seeking a candidate to develop dashboards and reports from data housed in the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS). The position will build relationships and work collaboratively with internal partners (senior management subject matter experts) as well as organizational stakeholders to identify relevant data set and structure data for analysis and visualization. The position will work independently in a remote environment. The position is expected to be filled for at least three months or until the project is completed.
The Power BI Developer/Programmer will develop and deliver visual dashboards reports and infographics that assist in understanding and the communication of financial data. The dashboards and reports shall be published for internal NCAOC users. The position will design engaging and interactive business insight dashboards using Power BI and possesses the knowledge and experience on data visualization best practices with a focus on enhancing interaction and experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain data and analytic model structures that support agency goals;
  • Perform analysis of data sets in support of operational performance improvements;
  • Translate data analytics into coherent reports and presentations for internal stakeholders;
  • Establish new reporting dashboards that are interactive creative and have professional visual graphics;
  • Integrate data sources through programmatic interfaces (Python/APIs) for efficiency;
  • Participate in gathering requirements and collaborating with customers to understand business problems and find the best way to visualize outcomes;
  • Participate as a valueadded contributor within the NCAOC Fiscal Services Division.
  • Train endusers on how to use the dashboards and reports effectively.
Required/Desired/Highly desired Skills:
  • Building Dashboards (Required 3 Years)
  • PowerBI Development (Required 3 Years)
  • Analysis through automation and the use of Python SQL R Java and other data languages. (Required 3 Years)
  • Data management database administration and common data interfaces/API (Required 3 Years)
  • Able to work autonomously and without assistance. (Required 3 Years)
  • Able to manage highly complex work efforts. (Required 3 Years)
