Job Description
- Identify hazards associated with aircraft functions and the potential failure modes, and effects of systems and components performing those functions
- Perform detailed analysis of aircraft system architecture
- Model aircraft system functional relationships and apply quantitative analysis techniques, such as Fault Tree Analysis
- Collaborate with design engineers to impart safety requirements into the design
- Validate new aircraft design and in-service aircraft modification safety
- Mine large databases for aircraft operational performance history, including failure and maintenance events
