Job Description
- Assist project and planning teams for developing project plans and ensure the project is delivered in budget, on schedule and within scope;
- Prepare construction budgets by analyzing technical drawings while updating specifications and projecting costs for each elevation;
- Assign responsibilities, mentor project team and develop economical state-of-the-art structural systems, estimated initial costs;
- Ensure project execution is within budget and schedule of the project scope and ensure compliance with corporate standards and guidelines;
- Work with multiple discipline projects and monitor fieldwork activities, as well as organize minimum subcontractors daily;
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications;
- Coordinate with estimation team project estimation and project schedule;
- Ensure all necessary documentation is submitted along with the invoices to the client/owner representative and completion certificates are signed off appropriately.
- Ensure Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of projects to help organize and manage the total work scope of the project;
- Initiate/review/comment on engineering and technical deliverables;
- Prepare and coordinate meetings and issue associated minutes;
- Liaise and support with onshore and offshore operation team
- Ensure project is managed as per company requirements and client specifications;
- Ensure that all interfaces with relevant parties including partners, subcontractors, suppliers, client, 3rd parties are correctly managed;
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Education & Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or any related
- 4+ years of experience in Project Management from leading shipping companies
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hull, and steel repairs
- Strong knowledge of related health, safety, security, and environmental regulations
- Good understanding of QualityManagement Systems, such as ISO 9001
- Mandatory to possess a valid Qatar driving license to attend site visits as and when required
- Understanding or project management practices
