Company Description
Applied Science Private University, located in Amman, Jordan, was established in 1989 as the first university project implemented by the Jordanian private sector during the reign of the late King Hussein bin Talal. It is the largest privately-owned university in Jordan with nine faculties, including Pharmacy, Engineering and Technology, Nursing, Information Technology, Arts and Sciences, Business, Arts and Design, Law, and Sharia and Islamic Studies. It also has two divisions: the Research and Graduate Studies Deanship, which offers various master's degree programs and oversees graduate studies at the university, and the Student Affairs Deanship, which oversees student academic and extracurricular activities.
Role Description
This is a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor role requiring on-site presence at Applied Science Private University in Amman, Jordan. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and providing academic advising and mentoring to students.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a relevant field
- Teaching experience in a university setting
- Demonstrated research record (publications, presentations, grants)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
- Ability to design and deliver effective and engaging courses
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Proficiency in Arabic language is a plus
