Tasks

Core Roles and Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: Oversee the daytoday operations of the cafe beer and cocktail bar including operational readiness staff management inventory control and customer service.

• Staff Management: Recruit train and supervise cafe and bar staff ensuring high standards of performance professionalism and customer service.
• Financial Management: Monitor financial performance including sales expenses and profitability and implement strategies to maximise revenue and minimise costs.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of food beverages and supplies conducting regular stock checks and placing orders as necessary to maintain optimal levels.
• Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers addressing any concerns or issues promptly and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with management and staff to develop and update menu offerings ensuring they align with customer preferences and market trends.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations food handling guidelines and alcohol service laws maintaining a safe and legal environment for patrons and staff.
• Marketing and Promotion: Contribute to marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and increase sales.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in food and beverage preparation presentation and service.

• Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings weekends and holidays as required by the business.
• Knowledge of coffee beer and cocktail culture preferred with a passion for providing exceptional hospitality experiences.

Qualifications and Key Features of the Role:

Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry preferably in a cafe bar or restaurant setting.

• Bachelors degree or industry training in hospitality management business administration or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pointofsale (POS) systems.
• Strong leadership and decisionmaking skills with a track record of driving results and achieving business objectives.
• Ability to lead by example setting high standards for customer service professionalism and performance.
• Understanding of local regulations and laws governing the operation of cafes bars and restaurants.
• Creative flair and a passion for innovation with the ability to keep the business fresh and competitive in a dynamic market.
