Senior Back-End Engineer

The Wise Seeker is looking for a Senior BackEnd Engineer. The engineer will be helping with developing web services that provide a highly scalable location/positioning platform of anything in realtime driven by machine learning.

Location: Permanent Remote Work from Africa Europe Latin America Middle East South East Asia

Tasks

1. Design code and work within AWS to build backend services.
2. Code in Python to support customer features related to 3D indoor positioning and IoT devices.
3. Recommend and develop methods facilitating development of the cloud environment but deployable via Terraform in the cloud environment.
4. Understand architecture design models Swagger OpenAPI Specs and REST/WebSocket service delivery models.
5. Identify and champion proposals to improve development processes reduce system cost and improve system quality.
6. Be a selfstarter own your work from concept to deployment.
7. Work in an environment that supports your individual grow

Requirements

1. Development experience with Python is a must (experience in other programming languages will be considered as a plus with a strong preference for C/C and Java)

2. Experience with Amazon Web Services (API Gateway Flink Lambdas DynamoDB Timestream Cognito IoT Core). Other cloud experience is a plus.

3. Experience with cloud deployment using Terraform.

4. Experience with OpenAPI.

5. Experience with IoT device management.

6. Experience with Github CI/CD and Pyunit/Pytest.

7. Ability to interact with the team in English (written and spoken) and strong communication skills.
