Operational accountabilities include: • Responsible for the implementation, and maintenance of the FSMS Food safety management system, drafting the procedures and auditing documentation for compliance. • Provide guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees to maintain compliance with FSMS HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Systems program, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. • Ensures all employee annual and ongoing food safety training is conducted to help create a culture of food safety. • Ensuring that food handlers maintain safe personal hygiene. • Completes all verifications/validations as defined in FSMS program. Reviews and verifies production documents as outlined in HACCP, and FSMS programs. • Assist the hygiene team with conducting, documenting and following the routine food safety internal audits. Ensure uninterrupted supply of clean and sanitized equipment for operational use. • Monitor trends in consumer complaints database and reports data to management on a timely basis. Investigates complaints related to food safety and quality. • Responsible to document appropriate corrective actions and provide recommendations. • Responsible for proper documentation & record of cleaning material stocks and monthly inventory. • Coordination with maintenance, production and operations on daily activities. Provide timely communication on all critical issues • Ensure effective pest control is carried out in coordination with the out sourced pest control contract staff. • Ensuring that a business's food safety program is up-to-date and accurately maintained. • Stay up-to-date of all relevant food safety legislation and standards that are applicable to the food business. • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
