Job Description
Key Responsibility:
The Storage Administrator is responsible for management of all centralized storage technologies.
Install configure as well as maintain storage hardware devices.
Storage Engineer jobs include being responsible for applying patches upgrading software and making sure that data is secured
Handle and support replication of DR data to make sure that data is recovered.
Add and Remove Host groups in a storage system.
Create and Remove LUNs and assign appropriate paths.
Install and configure SAN Switch devices
Create and assign zones for Server and SAN Switch connectivity.
Engineers maintain the fiber channel switches and SAN arrangements by ensuring that software and firmware are in keeping with the latest needs of an organization.
Provide the Storage related Technical support to clients.
The Backup Administrator is responsible for providing backup solution for all client/Hosts.
Install configure Backup client agent in all Hosts.
Add the Hosts in backup tool and initiate the Backup schedules.
Generate the Different type of Backup Reports in HTML and mail format
Restore all the backup data s from Tape library to department servers
Managing Tape library with LTO6 tape cartridge.
