Responsibilities
- Define pack and cell requirements and find the best options for product volume weight and runtime requirements.
- exposure to different Manufacturing processes for the battery pack casing.
- Mechanical integration of battery cells electromechanical components and hardware.
- Experience in taking battery packs from Proof of Concept to Production.
- Selection of PCM and other material for the IPXX rating.
- Designing the battery for the IP rating.
- Good understanding of DFX and geometric tolerancing.
- Excellent Mathematical and Analytical skills.
- Rigorous failure analysis root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Good understanding of the subsystems of the battery pack like PCBA Grommet etc
- Understanding the Electrical parameters and collaborating with a Crossfunctional team during RCA.
Qualifications
- B TECH or M Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 12 years of mechanical engineering experience in the battery field and pack designing.
- Experience with battery protection modules and safety standards.
- Experience in battery pack interconnection design thermal management and safety.
- Proficiency in conceptual and detailed mechanical design and extensive 3D & 2D CAD experience.
- Year of experience 26 years in Mechanical Design; Minimum 12 years in battery pack design.
