Job Description
Provide a safe nurturing and stimulating learning environment for 3 5yearold children that enhances the overall development of each child and reflects both the family and community culture. Supervise and manage all activities of a Head Start classroom. Establish clear limits. and expectations for children and adults in the classroom setting and ensure consistent meaningful daily routines. Observe screen and assess the development of each child using assigned tools and special protocols as appropriate. Comply with Head Start standards Child and Adult Care Food Program and Oregon State Child Care Division Certification requirements. Classroom environment and outdoor playground and field trips. Be in good to excellent physical condition and able to safely lift children up to 55 pounds.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development or a related field. Three years of experience in a preschool setting or related field. Successful experience working in a team setting. Experience successfully working with a culturally diverse staff and clients. Enroll in the Oregon Criminal History Registry and Pass a tribal background check. Possess First Aid/CPR and Food Handlers certification. Must pass a preemployment alcohol and drug test
