Job Description

Caretaker Position Available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and skilled Caretaker to join our team at The Oak Partnership Trust. We are seeking a reliable individual who is committed to maintaining our school premises ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our students staff and visitors.

Main responsibilities include:

The maintenance and security of school premises and sites ensuring a safe environment for pupils staff and the community:

  • Maintaining the security of the school buildings.
  • Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Assisting with the setup and clearance of school events and activities.
  • Maintaining outdoor areas including playgrounds and sports facilities.
  • Monitoring and managing contractors onsite.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in a caretaking or facilities management role.
  • Possess basic handyman skills for minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Be familiar with health and safety regulations in a school setting.
  • Show initiative and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Be committed to the ethos and values of The Oak Partnership Trust.

Details:

Hours: Part time 20 hours per week term time insets plus 4 days. A minimum of 10 hours must be core hours between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday Inclusive and 10 hours within or outside of core hours.

Contract: Fixed until 31 Aug 24
Location: Various locations within The Oak Partnership Trust.

Please note: All positions at The Oak Partnership Trust and within our schools require appropriate references and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance due to direct access to children.
