Overview:
The HVAC Site Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing the installation maintenance and repair of HVAC systems at various job sites. They are responsible for ensuring that HVAC projects are completed on time within budget and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop HVAC project plans
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems
- Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot issues to ensure system efficiency
- Prepare project progress reports and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for equipment and material procurement
- Provide technical expertise and support to the project team
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Manage project documentation and recordkeeping
- Conduct site surveys and assessments
- Resolve any design or installation discrepancies
- Participate in client meetings and address their concerns
- Train site staff on HVAC system operation and maintenance
- Identify and implement costsaving measures
- Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in HVAC system design installation and maintenance
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE IMC IECC)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent problemsolving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
- Knowledge of energy efficiency principles
- Certification in HVAC system design or installation (e.g. LEED AP NATE)
- Understanding of building automation systems
