Structural Engineer PE

Paradigm is searching for a Structural Engineer to support our client a leader in the wood processing machinery manufacturing industry. You will be completing structural design/analysis 3D modeling drafting/design on industrial projects featuring steel concrete masonry and light gauge metal construction. You will work on various design tasks such as modeling and analysis of structures and foundations developing design drawings assisting in preparation of specifications coordinating with owner and contractors through construction designing equipment support structures and much more.

Prepare design calculations drawings specifications proposals and construction cost estimates for a wide variety of construction and retrofit applications.

Modeling and analysis of structures and foundations using RISA 3D RISA Foundation RISA Connection Hilti Profis.

o New construction and retro fit applications.

o Required Knowledge of IBC ASCE7 AISC 360 ACI 318 etc.

Oversee development design drawings with the help of drafting/design staff in Autodesk Revit and Auto CAD.

Preparation of specifications for civil/structural trades for projects.

Coordinate with owner and contractor through construction.

o Shop drawing review and approval.

o RFI s.

o Inspections and site visits.

Design of equipment support structures for process equipment.

Design of foundations for preengineered metal buildings large equipment radial cranes substeel structures.

Familiarity with all conventional shallow and deep foundation systems.

Design of masonry and light framed construction office buildings and MCC rooms.

Work as team leader over design coordinator and drafting personnel on large projects.

Collaborate with architects designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects.

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET accredited university.

NCEES Licensed Professional Engineer Civil/Structural.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with AutoCAD Revit RISA or similar structural design software.

Available for intermittent overnight travel.
