Job Description

The purpose of this job is to carry out sales activities related to Fleet & Asset Finance within selected segments aiming to meet or exceed set targets while establishing and nurturing productive relationships.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

1. New Business Development

  • Achieve sales targets in Fleet & Asset Finance by acquiring new clients in targeted segments adhering to the customer value proposition.
  • Maintain a balance between risk and reward in business acquisition ensuring quality and profitability.
  • Proactively seek and cultivate potential business opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activities and market trends.
  • Enhance bank profitability by strategically crossselling focusing on valuable additions and client acquisitions.
  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly new business targets including a specific number of prospecting calls and meetings.
  • Align deals with desired Return on Capital (ROC) standards.
  • Maintain an active sales funnel with 5060 potential client opportunities.
  • Submit highquality credit proposals regularly.

2. Sales Management and Collaboration

  • Effectively market and sell Vehicle and Asset Finance (VAF) products to new customers.
  • Expand the customer base through networking coldcalling and strategic sales tactics.
  • Crosssell VAF products while maximizing fee recovery to increase profits and meet customer needs.
  • Analyze clients financial information to ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Deliver effective presentations and proposals to expand the client portfolio.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of sales territories and portfolios to identify business opportunities.
  • Manage and track sales targets and budgets.
  • Leverage relationships with partners and dealers to identify fleet opportunities.
  • Continuously develop skills in Fleet and banking.
  • Prepare and present documents for credit forums and committees.
  • Manage client expectations and experiences ensuring seamless implementation and integration into the bank s ecosystem.
  • Convert sales pipelines into payouts and manage lead logging and crossselling opportunities.

3. Risk and Compliance

  • Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Complete compliance training within specified timelines.
  • Ensure accuracy in legal agreements and documents.
  • Manage stakeholder response times and input on client contracts and approvals.
  • Aim for no errors or omissions in processes.
  • Achieve 100% compliance in statutory training and maintain clean audits in client onboarding processes.

4. Relationship and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Establish oneonone partnerships with joint ventures dealers and lead providers.
  • Effectively report sales activities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Present proposals to credit committees clearly and efficiently.
  • Train and coach partners to enhance their sales teams business knowledge and process management.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with the Credit department to ensure timely accurate and deadlinecompliant processes.
  • Manage the quality of work to create effective and seamless sales processes.
  • 5. SelfDevelopment
  • Engage in ongoing skill enhancement and personal development.
  • Become proficient in key competencies relevant to

  • Tertiary qualifications preferred BCOM and credit qualification
  • Fleet Management preferred
