Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Training Facilitator to join their team.
The Training Facilitator sits within the Feedback and Complaints Resolution Team within the Student and Parent Experience (SPX) Directorate. The role leads the delivery and facilitation of quality training initiatives, projects and resource development which builds the capability of staff to effectively respond to complaints made to the department. The role will also manage the development and maintenance of implementation plans to deliver high quality learning programs to meet capability uplift objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development and delivery of training programs in consultation with key stakeholders and partners, including oversight of training plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements and supporting training related activities, to ensure training and professional development outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality and compliance standards and within agreed scope in line with established operational guidelines and service expectations.
- Facilitate engaging training modules and presentations that build the capability, knowledge and skills of staff across the department and ensure quality learning outcomes are achieved.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key partners through effective communication, consultation, collaboration, negotiation and issues management to involve them in the development and/or delivery of training and development programs to ensure the directorate s strategic deliverables are met.
- Prepare high quality briefs and submissions, correspondence, and communications and provide advice to senior staff and external partners learning and development initiatives and results.
- Drive best practice in all initiatives, collaborate with managers and staff to identify training requirements, gaps in capabilities and skills sets and support staff in the ongoing development of their capabilities and skills.
- Undertake research, analyse and assess data to identify training needs, maintain training resources, including online training resources, materials and communications to ensure information is usable, accurate and up to date in line with operational guidelines and service standards as well as adult learning principles and emerging training methodology.
- Maintain a strong understanding of departmental policies and procedures, up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, working knowledge of internal system requirements and contribute to the development and review of business processes and service improvements to identify opportunities to improve performance and customer service outcomes.
- Lead the evaluation of learning and development programs, provide advice and report on the effectiveness of training programs against key strategic goals and initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in training and development.
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
- Experience in developing and delivering training and capability uplift programs and initiatives.
