One of our esteemed clients in the shipbuilding industry is currently seeking an Interim Procurement and Supply Chain Manager for immediate joining to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Job Summary:
As an Interim Procurement and Supply Chain Manager you will lead the procurement and supply chain functions for a duration of 12 months. Your role involves overseeing sourcing vendor management and logistics to ensure the smooth flow of goods and services. This position requires strong strategic thinking negotiation skills and the ability to optimize supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Identify costsaving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
Vendor Management:
Evaluate and select vendors based on quality cost and reliability.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Sourcing and Contract Management:
Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and trends.
Negotiate and manage contracts ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Streamline supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Collaborate with logistics partners to improve transportation and distribution.
Inventory Control:
Implement inventory management best practices to optimize stock levels.
Monitor and analyze inventory performance identifying areas for improvement.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain including disruptions and compliance issues.
Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate reports on procurement and supply chain performance.
Analyze data to identify trends inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
6 years of work experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
Indepth knowledge of procurement strategies vendor management and supply chain optimization.
Strong negotiation analytical and problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Requirements:
Commitment to a 12month interim role.
Adaptability to dynamic procurement and supply chain challenges.
