Key Responsibilities
The Director of Human Resources will partner with corporate HR leaders and field business leaders to execute HR strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. The DHR will bring a handson roll up your sleeves work ethic strong interpersonal and communication skills enthusiastic and friendly demeanor organizational skills and initiative to make immediate and longterm impact.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Partner and support the corporate Senior Director of HR in consultation and advice to the facility leaders and HR teams across three locations to identify HR issues associated with the business unit strategy and operating plans.
- Participate in and support the development and implementation of a workforce and human resources planning framework that will attract retain and develop talent and leadership capability.
- Counsel and educate leaders regarding employee relations issues providing actionable advice and coaching while ensuring adherence to applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Effectively utilize the HR system and technology maximizing its potential use and impact and teach/train others to do the same.
- Develop and execute effective full life cycle recruiting processes for all levels throughout the organization; manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Develop programs and activities that enhance employee engagement and positive employee relations. Support building and developing employer branding.
- Participate in the development and presentation of training programs (e.g. new manager training performance review benefits/open enrollment interview skills etc.)
- Help drive the collection and use of HR metrics analyzing and generating reports on a regular and ad hoc basis measuring turnover days to fill workplace safety etc.
- Build positive relationships with leaders and employees proving the value of HR as a consistent knowledgeable trusted goto resource.
- Provide input and feedback to HR leadership team to support continuous improvement and enhance the capabilities of HR to deliver innovative highquality services.
- Support the development and implementation of tailored communications to increase role clarity accountability performance expectations and build leadership team effectiveness.
- Manage annual and midyear performance review processes (e.g. employee communication training Q&A document preparation peer review processes and tracking).
- Oversee biweekly payroll processing including regular payroll processing bonus payments supplemental payments etc.
- Complete the paperwork needed for annual audits 401k workers compensation property and casualty claims etc.
- Manage the information requirements for the annual property and casualty insurance renewal process.
- Ensure proper maintenance of personnelrelated data (payroll personal information leaves turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met. Conducts internal I9 Audits.
- Administer the annual compliance reporting requirements for the organization including the EEO1 5500 ACA etc.
- Oversee the monthly payment of invoices for benefits vendors and other HR services.
- Recommend changes or new policies to maintain creative industry standard approaches.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 12 years experience in HR within a manufacturing/plant environment
- Must have proven leadership experience and experience leading an HR team.
- Strong interpersonal skills to positively influence other leaders and employees.
- Excellent written verbal and presentation skills including the ability to create and deliver effective HR communications and training.
- Handson experience with HR systems and software including recruiting payroll benefits time and attendance master data etc.
- Ability to manage a variety of special projects to include conducting researchorganizing prioritizing and analyzing a variety of human resource actions.
- Knowledge of US labor law compliance requirements and standard HR practices.
- Multisite experience desired.
- Compensation design experience is beneficial.
- Must be exceptionally detail oriented organized and can effectively and independently prioritize competing demands.
- Must be able to roll with changes to priorities/directions and tasks and to function well in a fastgrowing changeable environment.
- Collaborative skills and the ability to be a team player are an absolute requirement.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with field HR and business leaders.
- Knowledge and familiarity of other companies HR practices.

Required Education
- An undergraduate degree in Business Administration Management Human Resources or other related fields is required. A Master s degree in business or human resources is highly desired.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of HCM/HRIS (Workday preferred) and MS Office Word PPT Excel Outlook Publisher.
- Certification/Licensure PHR SPHR SHRMCP or SHRMSCP is desired.
