Job Description

Our client is looking for a fulltime permanent Aquatic Field Technician in Columbia SC to begin in 2024 to perform services on SC/NC lakes ponds and other bodies of water. The selected candidate must be willing to travel to designated areas as assigned to perform the outlined duties.


This is a great entry level opportunity for someone interested in ecological and environmentally friendly employment.


Responsibilities:

  • The qualified fulltime Aquatic Field Technician will treat and maintain lakes ponds and other bodies of water for a variety of customers in the NorthEast SC and SouthEast NC area
  • Control of aquatic vegetation and algae at established Lake Doctors accounts
  • Other duties include water testing stocking fish and other pond and lake services and prepping work area
  • Maintain communication with customers such as Homeowners Associations Management Companies and Property Owners
  • Present a positive and professional image in the community to help grow Point Source Environmental LLC.
  • Maintain customer records within customer service software system
  • Other duties as assigned according to the assignment


Schedule:

MF: 7:00a 3:30p


Work Location: On the road in SC/NC based on service location


Willingness to travel:

75% (Preferred)










Requirements

    • Ability to read and interpret herbicide labels operating procedures and safety rules
    • Possess good time management organizational and communication skills
    • Highly motivated individual that works well on their own
    • Strong Team Player
    • Comfortable speaking with the customers to discuss their lake and pond needs
    • High school or equivalent (required)
    • Some college helpful but not essential
    • Physical strength and agility to operate equipment in outdoor environments safely and sufficiently on or near water in an environment that may include heavy vegetation uneven terrain various species of wildlife and varying weather
    • Ability to work outdoors and use equipment such as boats allterrain vehicles trucks lawn mowers and other assigned equipment or vehicles
    • Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs
    • Must be able to wear all personal protection equipment needed in various weather
    • A valid clean driver s license for the operations of various motor vehicles and equipment
    • Our insurance company must accept you as an insured before employment
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
    • Must be able to pass background checks motor vehicle record checks and drug screening




Benefits

Pay: $15.00 $17.00 per hour depending on experience PLUS commissions

Full Time only

Excellent 90day training program with assistance in preparing for the required State test for certification in Aquatics
