Job Description
Mckie Recruit are seeking a Solicitor to join our clients Clinical Negligence Team based in their Leeds office. This is a fulltime position with a weekly commitment of 36.25 hours Monday to Friday. Additionally they offer the flexibility of hybrid working.
This presents an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor or CILEX to advance their career while becoming an integral part of our collaborative and highly professional team. Although the role demands the fastpaced customerfocused approach and high standards associated with a law firm it also offers a sustainable worklife balance and a strong connection to the local community in which it is situated.
- working alongside other solicitors partners and paralegals
- having direct communication with clients and thirdparty professionals
- managing their own case load
- dealing with a mix of Complex Clinical Negligence cases
- using the Firm s Case Management Systems
- preparing articles/blogs/legal updates and publishing to social media
- business development activities
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive (or equivalent)
- Experience working within Clinical Negligence and serious catastrophic injury is Essential
- Proven competence in their IT skills (outlook word case management and other systems experience)
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Good client care skills providing professional and competent legal advice in accordance with the SRA Code of Conduct
- Experience of handling own caseload working to and managing deadlines alongside the Capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets
- Good writing and drafting skills with excellent communication and technical ability
- have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- have an interest in longterm development/progression in the department
- have good communication skills both written and verbal
- driving license and access to a vehicle as travel will be required throughout the North West region. (*If you have a disability that prevents you from driving please specify so we can assess what reasonable adjustments can be made.)
